‘Mum and Dads Bed’ – PAINTING COMPLETED !

Another painting complete!  Wow… what a process this one has been! Lots of challenges… At one stage I thought that the painting was a lost cause and that I would end up shelving the work permanently (one step away from the rubbish bin)!

Thankfully, I was able to turn it around and I am now; 3 months after I started; very happy with the final painting. It’s almost life size, so is a good sized work.

The finished painting ties in so well with Thomas. You can imagine him dreaming of superhero adventures in the early morning just before he wakes up in Mum and Dads bed… where he snuck in for a hug with Mum and dropped off to sleep again early in the morning. The pyjama top further reflects this with his passion for heros like Superman and Batman. What else would a 9 year old boy dream of?!!!
